Fall Fireplace Trends

What’s Hot in Fireplaces?

It’s that time of year again! The leaves are turning colors, the daylight hours are getting shorter and the temperatures are starting to fall. Now is the perfect time to add or remodel that fireplace you’ve been thinking about. Today I’d like to talk about what’s HOT in fireplace trends.

From shiplap and stone to floating shelves and pattern tiles, today’s fireplaces are really sizzling with style! Shiplap is a favorite in design today, ever since Joanna Gaines introduced it to us in her designs on HGTV’s Fixer Upper. Shiplap is being used in kitchens, mud rooms and to accent fireplaces. Shiplap looks great in white but can also be painted to match any color scheme.

Stone is a classic fireplace statement and is available in many different colors and styles. My favorite is natural stone which ensures a unique, one-of-a-kind look. Fireplaces can have stone from floor to ceiling or it can be a small accent combined with a wood surround.

Go Linear

Linear fireplaces are trending with fireplace consumers who are attracted to low profiles. These fireplaces easily accommodate televisions above and provide a sleek look that brings a modern flare to any room style. Adding built-in cabinetry and bookshelves beside the fireplace provides storage for components and completes the look.

Floating Shelves

Finally, floating shelves are another popular paring with today’s fireplaces. Floating shelves are cost effective and provide modern style. Using floating shelves for the mantle and adding more shelves on the sides of the fireplace are a perfect way to display family photos, books and decorations and finish off your fireplace space

So, don’t delay…… get started planning your new fireplace today and turn up the heat on your next home improvement project!
